1. What is the Armor Lid Tonneau Cover made of?
Armor Lid is made from automotive grade ABS plastics and UV protective polymers. These plastics have been proven in the automotive industry from such companies as Toyota, Honda and Lexus over the past 10 years. It is specifically designed not to warp or disfigure under direct sunlight. When compared to fiberglass or soft tonneau covers, nothing compares to Armor Lids level of durability, strength, and functionality in a tonneau cover.

2. What is High Impact ABS polymer?
ABS Polymers are made up of acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. ABS plastics are highly versatile products that possess superior strength and performance with an economical cost. This high impact ABS is combined with other polymers prevent UV rays from chemically breaking down ABS plastic in harsh weather conditions providing a strong, durable product that will last for years on your vehicle. Your Armor Lid Tonneau Cover is made of the highest quality automotive grade ABS polymers on the market.
3. Does your product warp or discolor when direct sunlight is on it?
All composite plastic materials expand and contract with hot and cold. Our patented Triplex 3 layer design prevents this from happening at a minimum. This does not affect the fit or function of your cover as it is almost unnoticeable. Since we use the highest grade ABS plastic, your cover will never fade in direct sunlight even for years to come. That is why we have the industries best warranty at 5 years!

4. Can the Armor Lid be painted?
Yes, but the Armor Lid texture will effect the color. Painting over this special ABS plastic compound will make it difficult for paint to last for extended periods of time in harsh weather conditions. Painting your Armor Lid is an option for you but by doing so you give up the durability to walk on or work around this surface without scratching it. The choice is yours!

7. How easy is it to take off my truck?
In under 2 minutes you can have this cover off your truck and hanging on your wall. We include wall mounting hardware in each kit. Just simply pull on the quick release strut mechanism (see video) and remove the two rings at the front of the cover.
8. Can I add a bike rack, spoiler or truck bed rails to my Armor Lid?
Yes but it will void the manufacturer warranty if you drill into your cover. This cover is not designed to have luggage rack or other items fastened to the cover itself while driving. For liability purposes, it is best to strap items on top of the cover and onto the vehicle body or frame to prevent the lid from blowing off your truck while driving.
