Armor Lid, a hard ABS tonneau cover for pickup trucks, has achieved ISO 9001:2000 quality certification for its manufacturing plant. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from 148 countries. The intent of ISO certification is to better document practices and procedures, which in turn should lead to more uniform and consistent production processes, as well as improved quality procedures. According to Eric Chi, President, CYC Engineering, Armor Lid is the only ABS Tonneau cover manufacturer to receive this accreditation to his knowledge. “We are very excited in achieving this certification. It is our goal to constantly raise the industry standard in order to improve the overall quality and consistency of our products. We believe in the need for constant improvement in everything that we do.” he said.
Armor Lid Awarded Patent For Three Layer Design

The United States Patent and Trademark Office have awarded Armor Lid a new patent for its TriPlex Design ABS tonneau cover. This 3 layer design has a smooth top, a support beam structure in the middle, and a smooth bottom. This design provides a rugged, strong cover capable of having over 1000 lbs placed on top of it, without all the unsightly beams noticeable underneath. Since Armor Lid has a smooth underside design, it can allow for more truck bed clearance than competing brands allowing customers to close the truck cover with a cooler, tool box or bed extender in the bed.
